Dear Friends in Christ,
To all Consecrated Persons — With great gratitude, we thank all those who are Consecrated: Religious Priests, Brothers and Sisters, for your “yes” to God’s call to dedicate your lives to Christ in service of the Church. We are so grateful to each and every one of you for all the years of faithful service you have given as a witness to God’s unconditional and merciful love. May this witness by living a life vowed to poverty, chastity and obedience continue to inspire the entire Church to grow in holiness and true joy that comes from being a disciple of Jesus Christ. We especially hold you in our hearts as we pray for you and as we remember the great difference you have made in the lives of many in schools, hospitals and parishes.
Thank you for your continued prayers for us and for your dedication to Jesus Christ and His Church!
On Saturday, May 9th, Bishop Olmsted, Bishop Nevares and Serra International hosted a Religious Night Appreciation Evening in honor of all Sisters and Brothers in the Diocese of Phoenix. Those who attended had a great time in celebration of the Year of Consecrated Life and our Golden and Diamond Jubilarians.
All enjoyed a wonderful dinner together and good conversation.
The gratitude and good memories in our hearts for the gift of Consecrated Life will be cherished always!
A Timeless Classic: Confessions by Saint Augustine
The week before, on Saturday May 2nd, we had our first FIAT Discernment Morning for Women at the Diocesan Pastoral Center with 15 women desirous to know more about Consecrated Life and Sisters from 5 different Religious Communities who gave their vocation stories. Those communities who came were the Missionaries of Charity, the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, the Daughters of Charity, the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma and the Parish Visitors. We began with 9 a.m. Mass in the Chapel celebrated by Father Paul Sullivan, and then we gathered for a vocations panel and Q & A discussion. The morning was joyful, delightful and fruitful for all who were there, including staff from the Catholic Sun.
As we continue to honor our Blessed Mother this month, let us pray to her to have hearts willing to surrender our will to Our Lord Jesus Christ who became man in order to show us how to love perfectly.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pray for Us!

Our Lady appeared to three young children in Fatima, Portugal (1917) asking them to pray the Rosary for peace.
Let us remember with deep gratitude how we were taught by Religious Sisters, Brothers and Priests about the beauty of our Faith, the love of God and His Mother Mary which continue to strengthen us in charity.
Let us continue to pray for peace in the world and in our hearts. God bless you.
Your Sister in Christ,
Sister Anthony Mary Diago, RSM
